Maui’s favorite storyteller and our very own Kathy Collins has adapted the Okinawan story Pigs from the Sea into a new musical. Based on a true story, this 40-minute show tells the story of one community helping another after a disaster. The play is designed to inspire hope and healing for our Maui keiki. Plus it’s just a lot of fun. She’s performed this for all Maui preschools and elementary school students throughout Maui for this past month. There’s two free public performances for all ages this Saturday, April 19, 9 and 10:30am at Maui Academy of Performing Art’s Living Room, 2050 Main Street, 3rd Floor, Wailuku.
