Expires: June 16, 2026 @ 6:00pm
WHAT
Surf peaking up to 14 ft this morning and gradually easing through tonight. Wave run up expected during the peak high tide during the afternoon. A combination of surf and high water levels could produce nuisance coastal flooding.
WHERE
South facing shores of all Hawaiian Islands
WHEN
For the High Surf Advisory, until 6 AM HST Wednesday. For the Coastal Flood Statement, through this afternoon.
IMPACTS
Flooding of beaches that are normally dry, minor coastal erosion, and saltwater inundation. Moderate. Strong breaking waves and strong currents will make swimming dangerous.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
Avoid driving through flooded roadways. If you are forced to drive through salt water, be sure to rinse your vehicle with fresh water. Move electronics, vehicles or other valuables to higher ground. Monitor vessels to ensure mooring lines don't get too tight and watch out for overwash around boat ramps. Secure canoes or other watercraft stowed on beaches. Heed all advice from ocean safety officials. When in doubt, don't go out.
