Two free Fitness Courts, one at Keōpūolani Regional Park and one at Kahului Community Center Park, opened to the public after a blessing this week at Keōpūolani, due to the partnership among the County of Maui, Hawaiʻi Medical Service Association and National Fitness Campaign. The Fitness Court lets users leverage their own bodyweight to get full-body workouts using seven exercise stations. Users can also download the free Fitness Court App. Fitness Court workouts are created for individuals of all abilities ages 14 and older and adaptable for all fitness levels, allowing participants to move at their own paces. Maui is the second island in the state to offer Fitness Court facilities. Oʻahu has an HMSA-sponsored Fitness Court at Waipahu High School. For details go to nationalfitnesscampaign.com/hawaii.
