Hawaiʻi has once again been recognized as one of the healthiest states in the nation, achieving second place overall in the 2025 Scorecard on State Health System Performance, released June 18 by the Commonwealth Fund. The annual report evaluates all 50 states and the District of Columbia on 50 key indicators of health system performance, including access to care, health outcomes, equity, and prevention. Hawai‘i ranked among the top five states in access and affordability, avoidable hospital use and cast, healthy lives, income disparity and racial and ethnic equity.
