The U.S. Small Business Administration, or SBA, announced the availability of SBA Recovery Centers on Maui to assist small businesses, private nonprofit organizations and residents affected by August 2023 wildfires. FEMA has announced an end to in-person staffing at the two public recovery centers on June 18. SBA customer service representatives will remain on hand at the Recovery Centers in Kahului and Lahaina to answer questions and assist with the disaster loan application process. No appointment is necessary, walk-ins are welcome. Those who prefer to schedule an in-person appointment in advance can do so at appointment.sba.gov.
